My latest pieces were presented in a solo exhibition in the B32 Gallery in Budapest and at Kecskemét International Ceramics Studio’s Gallery.

I regularly take part in symposiums and masterclasses, solo and group exhibitions alike. After receiving my Master’s degree, I spent two years creating at the Kecskemét International Ceramics Studio, one of the most important venues of my professional career. Here I had the opportunity to work and develop my skills alongside numerous local and international artists. I found the experience of working in a living, working manufactory of this kind quintessential.

Receiving the Moholy-Nagy Object Design Grant allowed me to spend two years working alongside the particularly accomplished artists working at Herend Porcelain Manufactory and Alföld Porcelán.

My own workshop Pajta Stúdió offers regular art workshops for children and adults since 2011.In my experience there is more and more need for manual arts, creating something tangible. These workshops offer space for artistic work and an opportunity to create under professional guidance.

I find it especially exciting to see new objects come into shape guided by a single thought, led by the flexibility of the material itself. The process evokes the childhood joy of creation every time.

In terms of genre and material, I prefer diversity. I feel the need to create something new, be that functional objects, statuettes, thrown pieces or porcelain items.

Subjects dearest to me are decorative outdoor pieces, representation of wings, thrown figurines and pictured ceramic tiles.

My most preferred technique to use is paper-porcelain, but I deeply enjoy creating wheel thrown objects as well.

I strive for renewal and sincerity with all of my works.

Kinga Evelin Várbiró ceramic artist I graduated the Hungarian Academy of Applied Arts in 1997.
